This workshop involving a dozen of French speaking countries African, was opened by Mr. Meite Sindou, the National Secretary for Governanc!e and Capacity Building (NSGCB).
Mr. Meite Sindou was accompanied by Dr Coffi Remy Noumou, The ACBF Regional Director, of the West Africa and Central Operations Department. According to Mr. Meite Sindou, these sessions are part of the overall framework for evaluating public policies. An "essential" approach to the promotion of good governance and to optimize the use of resources of each country. The work of this workshop, which will last three days will result in the evaluation and harmonization of the Regional Foundation portfolio projects. They will also strengthen the capacity of participating countries in many areas. Namely, program monitoring-evaluation and assessment of public policies.
Meite Sindou M said that during the workshop, it will be for ACBF to improve the impact of its interventions in a dynamic efficiency. And allow its partners to better assess the results of its interventions on people's lives.
Dr Coffi Remy Noumou explained that the implementation of the ACBF portfolio is based on indicators that measure the results of public policies. And because these indicators have evolved in anticipation of the funding of these projects by the Worl bank, the main financial backer of the African foundation, this workshop therefore is a "revision" of these projects, he said.
With the funding from the international financial institution said the Regional Director of ACBF, there must be an update of the indicators so that to implement and harmonized the projects. Some indicators will be removed and new indicators will be put in place.

The number or quality of the economists of a country, the political decision-making based on research results, the contribution of economists trained by the ACBF to understand the gross domestic product (GDP) of their countries are among some of the indicators used by the foundation.

it should be noted that for 20 years, the ACBF has contributed in the training of African leaders countries and the analysis of their public policies. In that matter, it finances, several projects on the continent.

In May 2013, Côte d'Ivoire received from the Foundation, five million US dollars as part of a West Africa Country Capacity Building Program. In Central Africa, it finances an economic policy management training program called PEG, which is based in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
