FUNDING OF THE ACBF STRATEGIC PLAN 2017-2021: 50 MILLION DOLLARS RAISED DURING THE DONORS' CONFERENCE IN ABIDJAN.- Posted 30-06-2016

  
  
The first day of the ACBF Donors’ Conference ended in Abidjan with the announcement of 50 million US $ being mobilized to finance the 2017-2021 strategic plan of the institution that is seeking 250 million US dollars to support the strengthening of government capacity (at regional, national and provincial levels), civil society and the private sector in Africa. At the end of the session announcing contributions, the Executive Secretary of ACBF did stress the importance of the contribution of African countries to finance the activities of the capacity building organization.
According to the Executive Secretary "African countries should expect nothing from others", to organize and implement development projects. That's why he congratulated them for their contributions, which shows their commitment to the effective functioning of the institution.

We should note that the new ACBF strategy aims to produce "skilled people and strong institutions to transform Africa." Created in 1991, this pan-African foundation has during its 25 years of existence, trained over 50,000 experts in analysis of macroeconomic policy in over 45 countries.
