On the sidelines of the ceremony of the signing of the Grant Agreement for funding the Country Capacity Building Program (CCBP), Dr Frannie Leautier, Executive Secretary of the Foundation for Capacity Building in Africa (ACBF) welcomed the results of the National Secretariat of governance and Capacity Building (NSGCB) for the proper governance and capacity building in Côte d'Ivoire. "We are reassured that the government is very committed, not only in regard to the arbitration of this initiative but the financial contribution. What surprised me was to see that a small investment of $ 50 000 has managed to create an institution like the SNGRC, which still exists, which has a clear mandate and continues to focus on capacity building.
For me it is already a success, "she said. According to the Executive Secretary of ACBF, this success can also be seen in the economic policy analysis, the control chain in financial decisions, the monitoring and evaluation and the coordination of capacity enhancements at national level. Announced and given by the ACBF in order to finance and implement the CCBP on economic governance, will, according to Ms. Leautier, help Côte d’Ivoire to pursue the reforms and the necessary activities to strengthen the prime capacity in the country but also to continue with the issues of economic governance. "The Secretariat's role is so important to carry on with these capacity enhancements reforms and good economic governance. We hope that this donation will also attract other donors to assist the Secretariat to go further, "she said.
